The first Management Society women's organization was Silicon Valley Women - created in 2005 as a forum where women could meet and discuss topics of particular interest to female professionals (whether currently working or not). Since then, they have met regularly for mentoring, education, and networking.
Other chapters have also recognized the need to provide specific resources for their women professionals. Groups such as the Las Vegas Women's Network and Salt Lake Women have been organized by visionary chapters leaders who believe that connecting with other professional women is a great way to build your personal network. And, a solid network makes life better - not just for friends, but also for professional help, job searches, and being of service.
